Capabilities

Premitec is developing a family of proprietary, complementary, enabling technologies for the micro-fabrication of advanced biomedical devices, with a focus on next generation neural interface systems.

Our advanced packaging technologies use a combination of standard and proprietary micro-fabrication processes to prototype and passivate flexible biomedical devices. Their small size, biocompatibility, and ability to incorporate onboard integrated circuits into high-density neural interfaces position these devices to advance implantable neural prostheses by a quantum step. The current application focuses are retinal and peripheral nerve prosthesis, but the technology is beneficial to a broad range of implantable devices and other biosensors.

Through a combination of company owned and fee-for-use tools, we have complete access to a full line of both semiconductor fabrication and electrochemical characterization equipment.
